Available options include the current dorms, the rental market, and new developments.
Construction of "The Standard," a 303-unit, 936-bed development by Landmark, began in April 2023. It is to serve the student housing needs.
To address the housing crisis, the City of Boulder voted in August 2023 to allow five unrelated people to live together.
CU was approved to build Residence One in November 2023, and construction started in May 2024. Residence One is expected to house 330 students.
In June 2024, CU Bought a Louisville property, 1164 W. Dillon Road, that had been a movie theater for $10 million. CU Boulder is planning to develop the property for staff and faculty housing.
